Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 am–10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (513) 221-8487. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is martinosonvine.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 768 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been in, and I’m from NYC. Cincinnati is not known for Italian restaurants, so this was a pleasant surprise, it’s so good. It’s rustic, no white tablecloths or tuxedoed waiters here; just great Italian comfort food and a fun sports bar vibe. There are even board games you can play here with your friends. Highly recommend you come here for dinner.

Sportsbar with a rustic motif. Some boothes have their own small monitors at the table. The food is great and huge portions. The only issue we had was I got my entrΓ©e before my salad and had to wait a little bit on drink refills. Still a nice experience overall. We started with Ancini appetizer (2 deepfried risotto balls with marinara) which was delicious. Wife had the Italian Stallion hoagie and I ordered the Baked Rigatoni with sausage addon and vodka sauce. The sausage was grilled and that flavor permeated the pasta. Absolutely amazing.

Food served cold, paid extra for 2 small pieces of bacon on my burger while my stale bun fell apart. Service mediocre at best, but beer is good if that is your focus. This has been our UC bball pre-game spot, but has deteriorated way too much recently. Time to find a new spot.

Very very very good food with HUGE portions. I really enjoyed the cheese planks and the pretzel puffs were well soft and puffy! Stromboli had great seasoning on the dough and it is stuffed with cheese. My friend enjoyed her sandwich. Imagine poutine, but in a sub form. Overall great experience, even if it is a Steelers bar! Haha πŸ˜„

Another burger week restaurant. Great service, comfortable atmosphere, and a lot of history. The food was very good, the bread was a surprising high point obviously high quality without taking anything away from the other parts of the burger. The chips are made in house and were crispy and tasty. Drinks are surprisingly reasonably priced with the bourbon slush only costing $3. An excellent place well with the visit
